You do not need your own MC number to run with VLT. Owner-operators lease on to Victoria Logistics Transport and haul under our USDOT 3586822 and MC 1214207. We set up the lease and the compliance paperwork, add your truck to our insurance, and handle the BOC-3, UCR, drug and alcohol testing and MCS-150 updates. It is step one to dispatching with VLT.
What we handle
- Our USDOT & MC authority — You haul under VLT’s USDOT and MC numbers. No authority of your own needed.
- Insurance — VLT has its own insurance. We add your truck to our policy.
- BOC-3 & UCR — Process agents and Unified Carrier Registration, kept current by VLT.
- Drug & alcohol testing — You join our testing program so you meet DOT rules.
- MCS-150 updates — Our DOT registration is updated every 24 months. We track the dates.
- Required for VLT dispatch — One team owns your compliance and your loads.
How it works
- Tell us about your business — Business name, EIN, your truck and your CDL.
- Send your documents — License, medical card, cab card, EIN letter and photos of your truck and trailer.
- Sign the lease — We set up the lease and compliance documents for you to sign, and add your truck to our insurance.
- Start dispatching — Once you are leased on, you join the VLT dispatch board.

- A photo of your tag (license plate)
- 4 photos of your truck: front, back and both sides
- If you have a trailer: 4 photos of it, all sides
Frequently asked questions
Do I need my own MC number?
No. You run under VLT’s USDOT and MC authority through a lease with VLT.
Do I need my own insurance?
VLT has its own insurance. Adding your truck to our policy is part of leasing on.
When do I get paid?
Every week. Our week closes on Thursday, when you get your statement, and you are paid on Friday. Your check is ready Friday morning.
